Scouting

Cub Scouting - Youth Grades K-5

Cub Scouting is fun for the whole family.  In Scouting, boys and girls start with their best right now selves and grow into their very best future selves. It’s fun, hands-on learning and achievement that puts kids in the middle of the action and prepares them for today – and for life.

The Cub Scouts program, for kids ages 7-10, went co-ed in 2017.

Scouts BSA - Youth 11-17 Years Old

Support for scouting came at The American Legion's first National Convention in 1919. Today, there are more than 2,500 Scouts BSA units sponsored by Legion Posts throughout the country.

In May 2018, the national scouting organization announced it was changing the program's name to Scouts BSA and would welcome girls as well as boys ages 11-17.

Supporting Scout activities is natural for Legionnaires, who bring their service-learned skills and experiences as Veterans to bear to help build character and positive traits in "Young America." Few other Post activities generate more goodwill from the community.
